Tatty Devine for Charlotte Dellal

Amazing shoe designer Charlotte Dellal is blogging her outfits every day this month for Vogue.com. Today she's wearing a Tatty Devine Dagger Necklace that we created especially for her London Fashion Week show: Charlotte's footwear label is the amazing Charlotte Olympia. The Dagger Necklace was a gift in the goodie bags at a special screening of the movie Charlotte made to launch her Fall 2011 collection, To Die For. The movie is based around a murder mystery Agatha Christie-style story, full of 1940s and 50s glamour. We wanted to create something with a dark edge, as Charlotte's signature trademark on all her shoes is a gold spider web on the sole (Charlotte's web, get it?). The ornate dagger design we chose seemed to fit right into the theme, and was inspired by the print from Charlotte's Fashion Week invitation. Here's a swatch: We wanted to work with Charlotte because we really love her shoe designs. We made a huge batch of necklaces in our workshop to go into the goodie bags. This pic was taken when we'd nearly finished. Aren't they shiny? Here's the finished necklace: The movie will be screened again during Paris Fashion Week in March, where lucky invitees can look forward to receiving a Dagger Necklace in their goodie bag!
