Tatty Devine pop up at Shoreditch House
We just put on a triple pop-up! A pop-up shop, showroom and workshop, all in a cosy little room called The Snug at Shoreditch House. Shoreditch House is a members only club just down the road from our Brick Lane boutique. It's rather swanky - there's even a swimming pool on the roof. We are feeling a bit bad that the members-only part meant we couldn't invite all our fans down en masse. Sorry about that. We had a little guest list, though, and on it were the lovely Rob Ryan and his sparklingly talented daughter Barbara Ryan - here they are with Rosie: Read Barbara's blog about the event. We decided to teach everyone how to make a Tape Measure Rosette. These were one of the first accessories we ever sold as Tatty Devine, so we're a dab hand at making them. Here's Harriet starting one off (who's that spooky fella in the background?): This week we've hung out a lot with Emily who works at our perfumers of choice, Penhaligon's. She came to our Shoreditch House workshop, and then Penhaligon's had this perfume party the night after. Watch Emily at work as she makes a Ribbon Rosette: Attaching your rosette to your shoe = a good look. We soon had lots of people happily twisting tape measures into pretty shapes: P.S. If you want to learn to make your own Tape Measure Rosette, look out for the Tatty Devine BOOK which will be coming out later this year! Make sure you're following us on Twitter or Facebook so you don't miss out.
