2015 What A Year It's Been!
It’s a wrap!
The end of 2015 is here, so we're taking you on a trip down memory lane with a look at some of our favourite moments of the 12 months...
TATTY TOUR #TattyTour was a HUGE highlight of 2015! Stopping off in Gateshead, Glasgow and Liverpool on our northern adventure, we had an absolute blast meeting over 250 of you, sharing our story and hosting fun jewellery making workshops in some of our favourite places. Our mischievous Dog on Wheels even got in on the action and was spotted sniffing around some famous landmarks!
OUR HOME IN BRICK LANE We threw open the doors of our Brick Lane store for a whole host of exciting events throughout the year. Tatty collectors queued for hours to get their hands on one off designs in our Sample Sale - we admire your dedication! Our jewellery making parties launched in the summer - we’ve loved having so many of you in store for your hen, baby shower and birthday celebrations! A fantastic line up of female artists took over the shop including artist extraordinaire Sue Kreitzman, AW15 set designer Kerry Hughes, talented illustrator Ella Masters and vibrant graphic designer Camille Walala.
HITTING 50K ON INSTAGRAM Thanks to you lovely lot we reached 50,000 followers on Instagram in 2015! We also launched the #MyTattyDevine hashtag so we could check out all of your colourful jewellery snaps. Keep ‘em coming!
LONDON FASHION WEEK London Fashion Week has always been a key date in our calendar - we love nothing more than teaming up with other creatives and 2015 was no different! We collaborated with two fantastic female designers, creating unique earrings for Claire Barrow’s AW15 High Flyers and playful sunglasses for Mary Benson’s SS16 Letters from the Darkest Corners of my Heart show.
ZODIAC COLLECTION Rosie and Harriet had been dreaming up a Zodiac collection for quite some time and 2015 was the year their dream finally became reality! With an original take on the 12 signs of the zodiac, the collection hit the shelves in October and launched alongside Ella Masters cosmic takeover of our Brick Lane store.
CULTURAL SPACES We love partnering with our favourite cultural spaces and designing special pieces of jewellery. Over the year we’ve created Elephant Necklaces for Barbican, an exclusive Still Life Pot Plant Brooch and Name Necklace for the Crafts Council, plus miniature Bicycle Necklaces for The Design Museum. We’ve lots more where these are coming from, so keep your eyes peeled in 2016!
Phew, well there you have it! What a year it’s been - we couldn’t have done it without you.
WISHING YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR! Love Harriet, Rosie and Team Tatty.
