AW24: Honouring Ada Lovelace
Once again it’s time to hop on the Tatty Devine Time Machine, this time with Co-Founder Harriet Vine MBE as we honour another amazing woman from history…
As a collection, Time Machine plays host to a whole variety of characters and moments in history that myself and Rosie find particularly interesting and salient. During our research, we feel a connection to certain tales and there is nothing we love more than learning about trailblazing women who we wish we’d have known about forever.
Of course, choosing our favourite pioneering stories was difficult, but the work of Ada Lovelace in particular was so interesting to read about. On this day in 1815, the English mathematician and writer was born and we’re honouring her greatest work with computer engineering-inspired jewellery which combines poetry and science to create a delicate, statement necklace to be treasured.
Watch our Co-Founder, Harriet highlight Ada Lovelace's greatest achievements, family connections and the inspiration behind our limited edition Lovelace Necklace, £105.
Thoughtfully designed to combine original drawings of Lovelace’s companion, Charles Babbage’s, analytical engine with stitch-like motifs inspired by the Jacquard loom which sparked Lovelace’s digital programming discovery: invent new styling opportunities in our black occasion necklace.
