Bonjour, Jean Paul Gaultier!
Bonjour! We're very excited to reveal that we've created a limited edition jewellery collection in celebration of The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier at the Barbican. The major exhibition showcases the avant garde, boundary pushing style of fashion's enfant terrible, with more than 165 couture and ready-to-wear garments featured. Yes, that even includes the infamous conical bra and corsets Madonna wore during her 1990 Blonde Ambition World Tour!
Pierre et Gilles, Jean Paul Gaultier, 1990. Designed specially to illustrate the cover of the autobiographical photonovel À Nous Deux la mode. Private collection, Paris. © Pierre et Gilles Inspired by Gaultier's inimitable style, we've reinvented classic Gallic emblems in Perspex. Digital printing recreates the perfect Breton stripe on anchors:
Breton Anchor Brooch - £35
Breton Anchor Necklace - £25
There's even a nostalgic nod to our reoccurring seaside motif in mischievous seagulls, delivering glossy red hearts across the Channel.
