Burger Queen
We knew it was going to be a good night when we turned up to the Vauxhall Tavern on Wednesday night to judge alternative talent contest Burger Queen. As soon as we got there we were hurried up to a backstage room with a bar in a supermarket trolley and a "lady" drinking cider through a penis shaped straw. We tucked in with our fellow judges Timberlina, CocknBulKid, Marawa, The Broken Hearts, and resident judge Amy Lamé. Our other fellow judge Paloma Faith was waiting in the wings downstairs. Performance artist Scottee is the mastermind behind Burger Queen, which celebrates chub culture with real style. Four contestants, three rounds, we decide . . . while we stuffed ourselves with cakes from Kooky Bakes.

The Burger Queen heats are every Wednesday night at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern and the final is on 22nd June. We had an absolute blast - get down there!
