Little Nan's Festive Cocktails
With party season in full swing, we asked cocktail connoisseur Tristan from Little Nan’s Tropical Den to share three of his favourite festive cocktail recipes.
Inspired by his own Nan, Tristan recommends serving all cocktails in a teapot - the more novelty the teapot the better!
LADY PAT BUTCHER INGREDIENTS: 150ml spiced rum, 60ml grenadine, 70ml lemon juice, the skin of 1 large lemon cut finely, ice, 500 ml bitter lemon soda 1. Pop your ice into a teapot 2. Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl and pour into the teapot 3. Top up with bitter lemon soda 4. Decorate teacups with fruit slices, novelty cocktail sticks and statement earrings as an ode to Pat Butcher and drink up!
LITTLE NAN’S DRIVING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS INGREDIENTS: 10 cloves, 4 bay leaves, 50ml vanilla essence, 4 cinnamon sticks, a tablespoon of dark brown sugar, 1 litre of apple juice, your spirit of choice (Little Nan’s favourite is Licor 43!) 1. Pour all ingredients except the spirit into a saucepan and bring to the boil 2. Simmer for 20 minutes 3. Pour into a teapot and add your spirit of choice 4. Decorate teacups with cinnamon sticks and serve up your warming cocktail.
FATHER TRISTMAS INGREDIENTS: 10 tablespoons of jam (Tristan’s favourite is Little Mum’s Blackberry Jam), 100ml lemon juice, 200ml London Dry Gin 1. Mix all ingredients into a mixing bowl and pour into a teapot. 2. Decorate teacups with lemon slices 3. Drink up and be merry!
Don’t fancy yourself as a mixologist? Little Nan’s pop up, currently residing in Peckham, is offering a free Candy Vodka Shot for every guest when you make a booking. Simply quote ‘Little Nan loves Tatty Devine’ on the booking form.
We'll drink to that. Cheers!
