Monthly Mischief | November
It’s round two of our Monthly Mischief, where we give you the low down on what we’ve been up to during November. So here goes...
BY THE POOL Earlier this month, Lauren Laverne got in touch with us! We’ve always had a soft spot for Lauren - not only does she rock a Tatty Devine necklace in style, she’s also fills our mornings with the best tunes on BBC 6 music! So when Lauren invited Rosie and Harriet to speak at an event by The Pool, they jumped right in! Along with three other brilliant women, the panel discussed each of their lightbulb moments - here’s what happened.
EAT YOUR DRINK We tantalised our taste buds at Smith & Sinclair’s Eat Your Drink, the world’s first edible alcoholic shop. As well as eating too many tasty cocktail sweets, we indulged in pina colada dib dabs and even tried licking edible perfume off our wrists!
A WORK OF ART We’re excited our Still Life Necklace is part of I AM HERE, an exhibition by the Crafts Council. We’re even more excited to have designed an exclusive brooch and necklace especially for the show! We headed down to the preview at Royal College of Art to take a look at all of the contemporary jewellery on display - we’re a bit smitten with this little guy by Rodolfo Ramón, who certainly caught our eye in his leopard print pants!
ON YER BIKE! We’ve got a fair few cyclists here at Tatty; Liz from our Merchandiser extraordinaire enters big, long - we feel totally exhausted just thinking about it - races! When we heard the Design Museum was hosting an exhibition called Cycle Revolution it was the perfect excuse to design two cute bicycle necklaces in celebration.
#TSHIRTDAY We wore our fave band tees for BBC 6 music’s #tshirtday. We even got a shout out when we tweeted asking to hear Gary Numan - they played our Numanoids their favourite tune, Metal!
IF THE SHOE FITS “A pair of shoes can change your life” according to Cinderella. These shoes, which randomly turned up in our Covent Garden store, certainly changed Katie’s… she gained an extra 5 inches in height! If you know the owner, send them our way, we’re keeping them safe.
The next Monthly Mischief will be coming in January, but don’t miss our blog at the end of December where we’ll be taking a look back at 2015 and sharing all of our favourite bits!
