Revealed: Animation Hot House Competition Winners

After many hours of deliberation (and lots of popcorn!) we can now reveal the three winners of our Animation Hot House competition. Drum roll, please... Congratulations, Emma Dougherty! Our judges loved her bold, bright entry: Jude Lister: "Emma's entry really brings the jewellery designs to life, with a range of materials (paper, felt, plasticine) used to create a textured, vibrant mini rainforest. Great use of movement and soundtrack!" Maria Grund agrees: "It's a fun and ferociously whimsical mini-jungle safari that brings the wild and lovable characters of the sweet Hot House collection to life." Katharina Koall: "Yay for stop motion, it really pays off. Her use of plastercine is inventive and she really takes us into a different world." Philip Ilson: "I love Emma's short purely for her innovative and DIY approach to animation. A considerable amount of effort has gone into recreating Tatty Devine's jewellery on screen and it shows! A polished and well rounded animation." Congratulations, Charlotte Vogel! We loved the hypnotic patterns and clever use of symbols from the collection: Harriet Vine: "This is one of my favourite entries! I love the soundtrack and the way Charlotte incorporated elements of the collection in the pattern." Congratulations, Bunny Smith! Our judges were impressed by the attention to detail: Rosie Wolfenden: "I loved watching our tortoises and ladybirds come to life! The use of stop motion animation to make leaves blow away in a gust of wind is really fun." Congratulations to Emma, Charlotte and Bunny! All three winners each receive £100 jewellery from our Spring Summer 2013 collection and their animations will be screened at the London Short Film Festival in 2014.
