Rollin' with the homies!
Last weekend we had so much fun at Roll Britannia! The event was organized by the London Rollergirls, and it was a European Roller Derby Tournament! We set up a stall in the Vendors' Village where we had a perfect view of Track 1. All weekend long we watched rollergirls from around Europe battle it out: we love their warpaint make-up, customized skating uniforms and their skating names! These girls have amazing stamina, we felt tired just watching them play so many matches with no signs of slowing. The girls are fearless and when they fall over, they get right back up and skate on. All the teams were amazing, but we were of course cheering the London Rollergirls on the hardest. We loved the speed at which Kamikazi Kitten raced to the penalty box (the penalty time does not start until you get to the box, so she was getting in there as fast as she could!) Fox Sake and Correctional Felicity may well be the toughest girls on the track, nothing can knock them down. At one point Correctional Felicity was blocking three girls at once, no-one could get past her - it was amazing! See you there next time, and check out our exclusive London Rollergirls jewellery. The girls are now in Las Vegas at Rollercon, a huge international rollergirl meet-up! We're jealous...
