Tatty Inspired Nail Art by Archer Avenue
With a collection of over 300 nail polishes, a penchant for novelty designs and a very steady hand, Emma from Archer Avenue has some serious skills when it comes to original nail art. We challenged her to create four designs inspired by our new Contemporary collection and Emma nailed the challenge with flying colours!
Here Emma tells us about her colourful designs and the inspiration behind each one...
TEENAGE NOSTALGIA The Dental Bling Necklace is my favourite piece from the whole Contemporary collection, so I kept that as the main feature and went for a school theme complete with note paper, crayons and even some toothpaste! Nail pens and a very steady hand were needed for this design, plus a blob of glitter polish on the braces to add that extra bling.
CA$HINO I drew my inspiration for this design from the Fruit Machine Necklace and Cherries Ring which I think are super fun! To achieve a marbled effect for the background, I first painted my nails white and then used a scrunched-up ball of cling film dabbed in grey polish.
FLOWER POWER My favourite neon polishes and dotting tool were the only things I needed to put these amazing Posy inspired flowers onto my nails. These would look great on a white background too; however, I’m obsessed with nail art on bare nails as it makes the design really pop!
TOP OF THE POPS Pastels are perfect for spring, and so the Musical Notes Charm Necklace was the ideal piece to base my nails on! I kept this design simplistic to let the colours shine. The notes were easy to paint, I just used a dotting tool and a thin brush.
