Teemill: How It's Made
Ah, the Isle of Wight: home to colourful sandy trinkets, Minghella Ice Cream (Rum Soaked Raisin FTW) and our co-founder, Rosie Wolfenden. It’s no secret we’re pretty fond of the Island and all of her weird and wonderful wares but wait, we just can’t keep this one to ourselves: introducing Teemill!
Operating out of a disused supermarket, Teemill has revolutionized the way we buy and use t-shirts, from the making process to their ‘afterlife’, Teemill has it covered. Prepare to go wild in the aisles with Team Tatty as we explain how things go down over in the delightfully named village of Freshwater… So, when you select your t-shirt of choice from our lovely NEW Teemill store and press ‘checkout’, what happens next?
High tech, low waste: that’s just the way they do things around here! As soon as your order whizzes through to the team at Teemill, their super-sophisticated service prints out the parcel label and alerts the team to get cracking! Your Make Your Future t-shirt is only digitally printed after it’s been ordered, so no overstock, no waste.
Whether you’re into Art Is Life or got a passion for Craft Power, each and every design is printed on GOTS (that’s Global Organic Textile Standard 💅) certified organic cotton t-shirts in Teemill’s eco-friendly factory on the sunny Isle of Wight. Check out their sustainable credentials right here!
Once printing and quality control is ticked off, your order is tucked safely in single use-plastic free paper packaging by a member of the team. Yippee! Your order is printed in real-time with your tee arriving the very next day* in the UK and just a speedy 3 days wait for international orders… Now that’s cool.
And... TA-DA! That's your Teemill order dropping through the letterbox, ready for you to whip over your head and whack a selfie on Instagram. Just don't forget to tag @tattydevine and @teemillstores, oh and #MyTattyDevine for the chance to win an e-voucher every month!
