Women Are Equal To Everything: Meet Poppy Chancellor
Calling all art aficionados!
Cast your mind back to the snow-kissed spring of 2018, when our radiant GIRLS GOT IDEAS collaboration with paper cut artist and purveyor of serious bob envy, Poppy Chancellor, filled the Southbank Centre with love, light, and serious girl power. Two years on and Poppy’s delicate designs have graced the wares of REDValetino and Rotten Roach and with a stunning exhibition at We Built This City and a vital community project, Griefcase, under her belt: her star just keeps on shining.
We just had to get Poppy behind the lens for the third installment of our Fawcett Society collection, accompanied by fellow inspirational women working our series of statement jewellery that aims to empower and inspire in the lead up to International Women’s Day 2020. So, let’s get ready to talk good vibes, female strength and the Hoxton Hotel...
Hi, Poppy! Let's shake up our Instagram feed: who should we be following right now and why? @rubyrare for sex positivity and good vibes @jessiecave for observational comedy doodles @lakwena for a rainbow of artistic invention
Strike a pose! You recently starred in our Fawcett Society collection shoot modelling the Women Are Equal To Everything Web Brooch. If you could gift anyone this piece, who would it be and why? My mum because she embodies female strength and she steals all my Tatty Devine pieces for herself anyway!
And finally, how are you celebrating International Women's Day this year? I’m collaborating with the Hoxton Hotel in Southwark who are displaying my work throughout March. I’m also hosting some amazing dinners and workshops there to celebrate women in the creative industries.
Thanks, Poppy! Take action in powerful pieces from our NEW Fawcett Society collection and treat your flat to Poppy’s deeply Instagram-able prints here. |
