Wow, what a year - our 2011 highlights (and what to look out for in 2012)
Wow, what a year 2011 has been. We want to thank all our customers and everyone we know for all the amazingness we've experienced this year. Here are our highlights of 2011. 2012 promises to be even bigger and better - see you in the New Year.
We wrote our first book:
We packed our expertise into the first ever Tatty Devine book, How To Make Jewellery with Tatty Devine. We toured around the country doing book signings and workshops, and spreading the word on how fun and easy it is to make your own jewellery. Look out for more events in 2012.
We were top of the shops:
Time Out crowned us one of the Top 100 Shops in London. The Guardian named our Covent Garden store one of their 10 Best Shops in West London. And the Telegraph shortlisted us in their Best Independent Womenswear Shops in the UK. Visit our store to find out for yourself why it's so special.
Print met perspex with Eley Kishimoto:
The Batmosphere necklaces, made to match Eley Kishimoto's textile prints, became instant bestsellers. Look out for another joint collection launching during Paris Fashion Week in Spring 2012.
Tatty Devine sunglasses made a splash:
Designed for John Lewis and featured in Vogue, our first ever sunglasses were designed to look like a bow.
Girls + Zines took over our Tatty Devine Brick Lane store:
We invited Barbara Ryan to curate one of our most popular exhibitions, Girls + Zines. You can't beat things in print.
Tatty Devine for Tate:
We've now created several collections exclusively for Tate. Colour theory is our latest inspiration - available exclusively at Tate. Shop current Tate collections here.
We're in the jewellery Hot 100:
We were named one of the Hot 100 Jewellers in the World by Professional Jeweller magazine. Shop our Classic collection for the pick of 20 years of iconic art jewellery design.
Curious shoes:
We created beautiful shoes with one of London’s most famous secret shops, the Old Curiosity Shoppe.
Kreayshawn wears Tatty Devine:
The pop star behind the year's catchiest song wore our GIANT personalised Name Necklaces and Cartoon Eyes rings on and off stage all year.
Jessie J wears Tatty Devine on Saturday Night Live:
We created a special logo necklace for Jessie J's first performance on America's Saturday Night Live show. Design your very own personalised acrylic Name Necklace now.
London Fashion Week:
This year we produced mermaid and dagger necklaces for Charlotte Olympia's presentations in Paris and London, and created shark and crown headpieces for The Rodnik Band, one of the most talked-about shows at London Fashion Week.
