Your Festival Beauty Look: Nailed!
Is there anything cuter than Dog on Wheels nail art? This adorable bone design is the work of Nancy Mc, upcoming nail artist and new recruit to our store team. When she isn't making Name Necklaces on the spot in our Covent Garden store, Nancy is taking over Tumblr with her aww-worthy designs. We first spotted her signature Cartoon Nail design, featuring our Cartoon Eye Pair of Rings and fell in love with the pop art effect. We couldn't believe our luck when we found out that Nancy is a die hard Tatty Devine fan!
There's no better time to match your nail art to your jewellery than festival season, so we set Nancy a fashionable challenge. The brief? Create some exclusive designs inspired by our festival jewellery. Join Nancy as she reveals her fun Tatty Devine nail art featuring some of your favourite pieces of jewellery and gives a few top tips for getting the look at home. Take it away, Nancy!
"Ahoy there, maties! Nod to Bestival's nautical theme with our beach-ready Bunting Necklace. Want to recreate this classic red, white and blue bunting design? Use a thin striper brush to paint the triangles for your bunting before carefully outlining them with a nail art pen."
"Headed to Wilderness Festival? Blend into the wilds of Oxfordshire with truly tropical nail art. The ladybirds are cut from Fimo clay rods, which are like miniature sticks of seaside rock! They can be purchased online and are applied to the nail in the same way as the gems in my Leopard design. Team with our Hot House Ladybird Ring for a perfectly polka dot look!"
"When the Lovebox line up includes Lil Kim, Azealia Banks and Kelis, you need to be on top of your hand candy game. Team our Leopard Ring with statement sparkling nail art. These nail gems can be found online and in most craft shops. A top tip when applying gems: dip the end of a cocktail stick in some topcoat, then dab on the gems to pick them up and place on your nail. There you go!"
Thanks, Nancy! We'll definitely be trying our hand at Tatty Devine inspired nail art this summer. Inspired to create your own Tatty Devine nail art when you hit the field this summer? Tweet us your designs to @tattydevine or use the hashtag #tattydevine on Instagram.
