Misshapes: The Final Countdown

Eight venues across the UK, 100+ objects, genre-defying designs spanning 20+ years... and one supersized T-Rex skeleton! šŸ¦– As our Crafts Council Misshapes: The Making of Tatty Devine exhibition draws to a close this week, we're taking a moment to celebrate the many hours of love, curation, and preparation that brought this massive retrospective together. Adjust yourĀ Disco Lobster Statement Necklace, turn Pulp UPĀ andĀ please, don't feed the GIANT parakeet: it's time to wave goodbye to Misshapes!

Ā

Our first-ever solo show celebrating all things Tatty Devine and curated by our Co-Founders, Rosie Wolfenden MBE and Harriet Vine MBE, Misshapes presented over 100 pieces from the last 20 years, from hand-printed piano key belts to elaborate limited edition jewellery, GIANT versions of classic designs, carefully curated ephemera, sketchbooks, and two new films.

Fancy a peek behind the scenes? Join our Co-Founders, Rosie Wolfenden MBE and Harriet Vine MBE over on the Creative Rebels podcast as they prepared for the opening of Misshapes. From selling their early creations on a market stall to sealing the deal on the first-ever Tatty Devine shop, forging collaborations with cultural icons and personal heroes (paging Bowie, Fawcett Society and Rob Ryan) and becoming the world's go-to brand for original and fun statement jewellery.Ā

Ā

A celebration of over twenty years of original art design, entrepreneurship, female friendship, innovative British making, and the power of creativity, it couldnā€™t have been possible without the support of our incredible venues. šŸŽ‰ Letā€™s hear it for: Lethaby Gallery at Central Saint Martins, The Wilson, Cheltenham, De Montfort University, Leicester, Stephen Lawrence Gallery, Greenwich University, =20-21 Visual Arts, Scunthorpe, New Brewery Arts, Cirencester, Cotswolds, TÅ· Pawb, Wrexham, Wales, and finally, Hove Museum and Art Gallery, Brighton and Hove.

Ā

Calling all creatives! Budding jewellery designers fromĀ London, Wales and beyond picked up their pliers as we brought our signature jewellery making workshops to participating venues. Rosie, Harriet, and Team Tattyā€™s Amy D and Katie taught eager makers how to whip up their very own sparkling bunting necklaces, dead good dinosaurs, and disco-tastic parakeets in jewellery making classes hosted at our dedicated workshop table, specially designed within the exhibition space.
