Tatty Devine Take LFW | Mary Benson SS16
This morning we braved a downpour to head to Soho, the new heart of London Fashion Week, to check out Mary Benson's SS16 show, Letters From The Darkest Corners Of My Heart.
Following the theme of heartbreak and "love sick intoxicated feelings", we designed a capsule collection of sunglasses, featuring Mary's handwritten notes laser etched and hand inked onto acrylic, adorned with Swarovski crystal tears. They looked amazing alongside her abstract floral patterns, vinyl embellishments, delicate embroidery and glitter lipstick.
For the show, a traditional pub had been transformed into a cloud of heartache, full of handwritten notes strewn across the floors and walls. Models wandered through crowds of people, chatting among each other, sporting millinery by Stephen Jones and shoes by Melissa - what great company!
"We loved working with Mary Benson on her SS16 collection, it was brilliant joining creative forces to design sunglasses and jewellery that exude her spirit and vitality - they really do stop you in your tracks!" - Harriet and Rosie
“It has been great to collaborate with Tatty Devine, I have always admired their aesthetic and working with them has been such a pleasure.” - Mary Benson
What do you think of the collection? It may be about heartbreak, but we fell in love with Mary's designs!
